Muay Thai Story at Suwit Gym @ January 2015
Whatever stage we are at in our lives we all do something to keep ourselves fit and healthy. We take time out of our busy lives to keep the body in shape and maintain fitness to ensure health. We do jogging, go to the gym, do yoga and even exercise at our homes in our bedrooms. Muay Thai
Whatever you do for keeping the body healthy should be done perfectly and safely to avoid any mishaps. It is important to know what you are getting into before starting it. Muay Thai is great as a sport and as an exercise. There are some preemptive measures to be taken to make sure the training does not go bad. Most importantly, one should know what equipment one should have while training in a Muay Thai session. Training equipment is no less vital than any other aspect of Muay Thai. To keep the trainee in a top notch physical condition it is important he owns up-to-standard training equipment.
Punching or kicking bags hold significant importance in keeping the trainee in a top physical condition. These bags are usually filled with sand and sawdust to make them durable and that is they take all the beating pretty easily. Specially designed protective pads should be worn as they are used to build up the quick reflexes. This is really important for the functioning of the body and because of its usage in the fight, if you take it as a sport. Headgear is worn while sparring to protect the head from blows and it saves trainee from serious brain damage. It is never advised to go in training without putting it on. Skipping ropes, a game you might have enjoyed in the childhood, is important here. It helps building up the stamina and leg muscles. Bag gloves reduce the effect on fists while exercising with the sandbags. They help avoiding sprains around the heel of hand. Punching balls are more important if you take this exercise as a sport as they help making the eye reflexes quick and swift. It helps in assessing dodging and blocking which is great for the eyes as well. Stopwatch, which might seem insignificant to some, is quite important. It helps developing the sense of time intervals and the amount of time remaining. It helps developing the game in quite useful ways. Anklets are there to minimize the chances of ankle sprains. This provides agility to the legs and helps the trainee kick correctly and with more force. This equipment discussed above is vital for the trainee's skill and safety. It is better one should get his hands on to all the items before undertaking the training.
It is to be kept in mind that there should be no compromise on the quality of the training equipment as it exists to keep trainees safe and secure. It is better for everyone in the training session to get high quality training equipment to make the sessions more effective and to avoid any unpleasant event.
